First Communion Class - Grade 4 age and UpThis nine-session program is taught by Pastor Jon during the first quarter of the year. This class provides children with formal instruction in preparation for receiving Holy Communion. A special Holy Communion service is held for the class in the spring. For the service students make a First Communion Banner for their class, bake the communion bread, and receive their study bible. Children are expected to attend classes and they are expected to attend worship diligently. Children need to know how to worship and have a rootedness in worship if they are to develop an appreciation for communion. Contact Pastor Jon at jon@faith-andover.org for more information.
